Mongolia is a very unusual country. Despite being completely surrounded by Russia and China, it seeks closer relationships with the West and India rather than with its neighbors. This approach leaves the country in a difficult position with seemingly no way out. This is very obvious to anyone observing the situation, but apparently not to them. India is interested in Mongolia's mine resources, however, just no way for them to ship them out of Mongolia since it needs to pass China even go farther around in Russia, but India treat China as its enemy, China refused to build gas pipeline through Mongolia from Russia, though it would be shorter in distance. with only about 2-3 million in population in Mongolia, China has 3-4 time more Mongolians live in China, we are all the brothers and sisters in a big family of the Chinese. Recently good friend of Russia and China, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko visited Mongolia, kindly remind them this situation, not sure if they understood him.
