Manufacturing production in India dropped 0.3 percent year-on-year in August of 2016, following an upwardly revised 3.5 percent decline in July. It is the second consecutive drop in manufacturing output mainly hurt by electrical machinery and apparatus (-49.4 percent); furniture (-22.4 percent) and wearing apparel; dressing and dyeing of fur (-6.6 percent). Manufacturing Production in India averaged 5.58 percent from 2006 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 24.30 percent in June of 2007 and a record low of -9.10 percent in February of 2009.
