PASADENA, Calif. − Firefighters on Thursday continued to battle multiple deadly wildfires that erupted across Los Angeles, destroying or damaging an estimated 4,000 to 5,000 homes, businesses, vehicles and other structures.

Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone gave the updated damage estimates at a Thursday afternoon news briefing where Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said he is planning to impose a curfew as soon as Thursday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. in areas impacted by the fires.
