The entire elite class of India is ALL in IT now and not much else.  There should be a few indicators on accomplishments. (1) If you look at the wealth accumulation between the Indian race and Chinese race, the different is HUGE. Indians will probably NEVER catch up. (2) Technology. When the Chinese were involved in US tech sectors, I don't even know where the Indians were - Jet Propulsion Lab, Wang, ...  (3) Politics. many Chinese have been on national level leadership of Canada, US. There is all but ONE Indian on the US state governor level - I don;t remember any Indian in the US cabinet level yet.

Even in the Silicon Valley, where the Indians have dominated by wolf pack strategy - flood an entire company by sheer number headcount advantage, and proceed to only hire heir own. But true Indian innovators are still few. Most of them are mid-level managers.
