for local HK people who were either indifferent or against the PLA.
However, the PLA HK garrison has very good standing among HK people for the past 15 years. Every year PLA open days do attract a lot of visitors. During 2003 SARS there were HK people making enquiries about joining the PLA since they cannot yet find a job. |
