It is a very complex issue. The Nanjing case is just one of the extreme examples. However,common sense is far more important than any stupid law for such case. You do NOT need to do anything to help that poor little girl but make a emergency call (get professional help--any wrong doing could cost such victim's life) + block the traffic (provide safe enviroment for the victim). It actually has little to do with possible lawsuit.
