to all of you who don't know about our navy or have never been deployed in the navy, let me help you here. this article is full of shit.

aboard the 2 carriers i have been deployed with more than 8 times. i can tell you our carrier strike groups are nothing even close to invincible. let me tell you two real life instances. i had just finished a big drill conducting some fake firefighting scenarios. and afterwards i looked off the starboard side and saw a flash in the water... and another flash... and another.... it was the suns reflection from a Chinese sub watching us while we were near Hong Kong... they had followed us for hours staying within 500 yards... of the carrier. and we had NO idea they were there until i called it in and a destroyer chased it off...

another instance was two Russian ships that had followed us... staying withing 1/4 mile of us just watching.... not to mention the HUGE Russian aircraft knows as a Ilyushin IL-38 maritime patrol aircraft.. flying over our flight deck within 500 feet of us.... we are not safe
