Sources in the Pentagon confirmed to me moments ago that the United States has flown two B-52 Bombers DIRECTLY OVER the artificial islands constructed by China, in the South China Sea. The flights utterly ignored China's claim of sovereignty over the man-made islands.
The nuclear-capable aircraft are said to have flown not nearby, but rather DIRECTLY OVER the land which China claims as its own.
This was another "freedom of navigation" exercise by the United States to fly through a place in order to prove we have the legal right to do so, whether anyone likes it or not.
Beijing is likely to have a very serious reaction to this.
