You cannot dictate the A/C's movement. It's decided by the A/C's captain. It can be a straight line (rarely in time of hostility), or it can be zigzagging (most likely under alert). In 8 minutes, the A/C can be anywhere in a semi-circle (assuming you know the A/C's general heading direction and the A/C's captain sort-of follows your assumption without turning around in the opposite direction in that 8 minutes) encompassing an area of 1/2 x 208,892,239.5 m^2. Otherwise, you are talking about an area almost of 208,892,239.5 m^2. I doubt anybody wants to saturate-attack such a large area (or even 1/10th of it) without the help of some kind terminal guidance, do you? Or you want to fire much (not many!)more than 10,000 warheads with NO terminal guidance just pray that you MAY score a SINGLE hit? I don't think anybody wants to fight a war in such a brute-force way. Would you?
