How to manage upper structure is methodology. One can learn from any book including帝王将相. Choosing what type of system to pursue is ideology. Mao as matter of fact in his whole life strongly opposed 才子佳人 and 帝王将相. I don’t see帝王将相 books contributed anything to who Mao becomes.
