Despite the massive development of shale oil for over a year now, oil price seems to be holding up pretty good. Fundamentally I was expecting weakness, however, a glance at the trendline charts reveal it has been slowing forming a wedge pattern, and recently broke out in the upward direction.

Also note, that the support line has been holding quite well for the past 3 years
