[Praise of the Gobi Desert]

from deep inside the boundless gobi desert
came the beautiful and calm sound of music
from the mist in which swans lost their direction
came the sound of water from bamboo fall
fill the bucket with this spring water
the water is cool and fresh
the crying sound of new born lamb
welcomed the arrival of spring season
heards of Mongolian gazelle racing ahead
that is the beat of my delirious heart
the broadness of the Gobi deeply touched me
wish to be her child again in the next life

in the heart of the deep desert
is the track of wild camels
the surface of the endless desert
is dotted with beautiful jewels
lurking inside the magnificant poplar forest
is the blessing of the soul of ancestors
the mascot of Torghut
is singing the tunes of epic legend
heards of Mongolian gazelle racing ahead
that is the beat of my delirious heart
