Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an election rally in poll-bound Assam, saying that the prime minister’s leadership made China retreat without getting an inch of the land of Indian territory.
Speaking at an election rally in Guwahati, Fadnavis said, “Be it Bangladesh, Pakistan, or China, the borders of the country are now completely safe. India is now emerging as a strong country.”
“For the first time, India has able to push back China from the border. Before this, whenever China invaded or came forward, they took some part of Indian territory into their possession,” he added.
Devendra Fadnavis also said the efforts to secure all borders with Bangladesh, Pakistan, and China are being undertaken under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Meanwhile, attacking the Congress, Fadnavis said that “the so-called alliance of Congress-AIUDF is not Mahajot (Congress-AIUDF alliance), it is Mahakhot (major scam). All the lost people have come together. They have only one agenda to defeat BJP. The people of Assam will deny this Mahakhot and will give blessings to BJP.”
