China has 45 operable nuclear reactors, with a combined net capacity of 43.0 GWe. In 2017, nuclear generated 4% of the country's electricity. The country continues to dominate the market for new nuclear build. At the start of 2019, 13 of the 57 reactors under construction globally were in China. In 2018 China became the first country to commission two new designs – the AP1000 and the EPR. China is commencing export marketing of the Hualong One, a largely indigenous reactor design. The strong impetus for developing new nuclear power in China comes from the need to improve urban air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The government's stated long-term target, as outlined in its Energy Development Strategy Action Plan 2014-2020 is for 58 GWe capacity by 2020, with 30 GWe more under construction. India has 22 operable nuclear reactors, with a combined net capacity of 6.2 GWe. In 2017, nuclear generated 3% of the country's electricity. China/India , 43/6.2= 7, Chins nuclear power is 7 times of India's China 45 reactors produced 43 Gwe, average 0.96 GWe per reacter, India, 6/22 = 0.27 GWe, China's reactor 0.96/.27=3.6 China's reactor produce 3.6 times more power per reactor than India's 43 is 4 % of total China's electricity, so total is 1075 GWe 6.2 is 3% of total India's electricity, so total India electricity is 210 1075/210=5.11, China't total electricity is 5.11 times of total India's electricity.
