so whats the big deal of a growth rate? Why are Indians so thrilled that their GDP growth rate of 7% on a puny 2 trillion economy, any better than China’s 6.9% on a USD 10 trillion economy? Clearly shows Indians are dumb and just wanting to brag about nothing!

What does mean by growth rate . If A is earning only 100 Rs then by going by 8.5% growth rate you will get next year 108.5 Rs. And B is earning 300 Rs then by by going by growth rate of 5 % it will get 315 Rs. Means B has more increase more than twice Thus B has more income per years as well has more gross wealth. Growth rate in stand alone has not give correct picture

增速是什么意思？如果A只赚100卢比，增速为8.5%，那么第二年就赚108.5卢比；

如果B赚300卢比，增速5%，那么第二年就赚315卢比。

也就是，B多赚的钱是A多赚的两倍。

仅凭增速不能反应真相。
