A new frigate, the Sanmenxia, is commissioned into PLA Navy's East Sea Fleet on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014. The commissioning ceremony was held at an undisclosed naval port in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. The frigate Sanmenxia is the lead ship in its class. Its hull identification number is 593.
